  26. I'm sorry, I don't know what you are talking about.  My VT220 manual
  27. does not say a word about fore/background processing.

  29. Please send mail to kermit@columbia.edu and explain exactly what
  30. you think Kermit should be doing.  What are the escape sequences, etc?
